साइबर अपराध, जिसे अतिरिक्त रूप से कंप्यूटर अपराध कहा जाता है, गैरकानूनी गतिविधियों के लिए कंप्यूटर और इसी तरह के इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरणों का उपयोग करता है। धोखाधड़ी करना, चाइल्ड पोर्नोग्राफी की तस्करी, बौद्धिक संपदा अधिकारों का दुरुपयोग, पहचान की चोरी और गोपनीयता पर हमला साइबर अपराधों के कुछ उदाहरण हैं।

साइबर क्राइम से कैसे बचा जा सकता है?
1.अपने ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम को अपडेट रखें।
2.अपडेटेड सॉफ्टवेयर्स/एप्लीकेशन्स का इस्तेमाल करें।
3.इंटरनेट एक्सेस के लिए उपयोग किए जाने वाले उपकरणों पर हमेशा एंटीवायरस का उपयोग करें और उन्हें अपडेट रखें।
4.केवल वैध वेबसाइटों तक पहुँचने के लिए वेब ब्राउज़िंग रेलिंग सेट करें।

सरकार को इंटरनेट मीडिया के दुरुपयोग पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए प्रभावी रणनीति बनानी होगी। आज एडल्ट साइट्स की भरमार है जिसे देखकर हमारी भावी पीढ़ी का मन और भविष्य दूषित होकर गर्त में जा रहा है। देश के भविष्य को अंधकार में जाने से बचाने को ठोस एजेंडा बनाना होगा जिससे इन वेबसाइट्स पर लगाम कस सके। एडल्ट वीडियो और चाइल्ड पोर्न वीडियो शेयर पर जेल और जुर्माने का प्रावधान किया जाए।
